Marketing Website Coordinator/SEO Specialist
Sportdecals, located in Spring Grove, Illinois, is a $20 million company owned by management and a Chicago-based private equity firm. The company focuses on a broad range of custom designed printed apparel and decals primarily utilized in team sports, spirit wear, and fundraising for K-12 schools throughout the United States. We are currently looking for a full-time in-house Website manager / SEO specialist who will be responsible for on-page optimization duties including content editing, keyword research, blog optimization, internal linking, inbound link building, Meta tag creation, analyzing performance metrics, and other SEO techniques.
We are seeking a talented SEO specialist who knows and stays on top of latest white hat SEO techniques, a fast learner, and a team player and wants to be a valuable part of a small but growing team. We want someone who can bring their knowledge of SEO to constantly improve organic search efforts for our e-commerce websites.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
o On page optimization and content editing including call-to-action statements, headlines, meta tags, page titles, alt tags, and description
o Keyword research, analysis, and implementation into content and other aspects of websites
o Blog writing, editing and optimization
o Creating landing pages and supporting pages for various SEO keywords
o Internal link building
o External (inbound) link building, guest blogging opportunities, and other free and white hat inbound link pursuits
o Stay up to date with industry trends and news for the custom garment and decal business
o Perform website evaluations to identify areas of improvement and potential issues. Make recommendations and implement them on sites as needed.
o Online catalog maintenance
o User Interface/path to purchase responsibilities
Desired Skills and Experience
o Min. 2 years of search engine optimization experience
o Experience with SEO guidelines, analysis, tracking/reporting tools, algorithms, ranking factors
o Knowledge of basic web design and technology principles and their SEO implications
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
o Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
o Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
o Track record managing SEO for hundreds of keywords
o Can be relied on to complete projects in a timely manner
o Ability to quickly adjust priorities to respond to pressing demands
o Effective troubleshooting and problem solving skills
o BA/BS in English, Communications, Marketing or related field is a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
